GONEBAD – Look For Entry 24th July 2020

Back in January 2020 you may remember GoneBad released their brand new single called “Cold Enough” well after a 7 month time period and also delay due to pandemic, Gonebad has returned with his brand new single “Look For Entry”. The single is slightly heavier than his previous release but still packs a punch in the hard rock genre.

Single Information

Look for entry is one of the first songs that was written when Gonebad was formed back in 2007. A lot has changed in that time and even though I’ve written a ton of music since then, the songwriting hasn’t really changed. I still love writing guitar riffs and vocal melodies attached with deep emotions and that’s what Gonebad will always be about. It is also the first song I recorded and produced by myself in my own studio, so it’s a new step and an opening of another chapter in my career.

Lyrically, Look for entry is about the frustration of not being able to chase your dreams when trying to measure up to the demands of modern day society. It’s a sad truth in life that the vast majority of people give up on their dreams for a variety of reasons. To an aspiring musician and an independent artist like myself, the subject has always felt relevant and deeply intriguing.

Band Bio

GONEBAD was formed in Finland in 2007. Founded by vocalist, guitarist, songwriter B. Harrison. Though actively writing and recording demos, the band was plagued with constant changes in the line-up. In 2014 Harrison teamed up with the solo artist and a producer Jay Ray and released ‘Counting Days’  as a two track single. In contrast to the heavily riff-oriented, distorted electric guitar stressed pattern progressions that Gonebad was known for, ‘Counting Days’ took a very mellow, melancholic and almost cinematic approach in delivering the songs.  ‘Counting Days’ was followed by a hiatus that finally ended in a decision that the never ending changes with the line-up should no longer prevent him from releasing his music. ‘Cold Enough’ was released in the beginning of 2020 and It became clear that this journey would be something he would have to take solely on his own…
