Derby based Alternative Rock band ‘Imbue’ return with their first release in over 2 years.
Their new single ‘Alive’ is released on Saturday 7th August.
After a positive start to 2020 with gigs across the UK including a memorable show in the band’s hometown Derby with Strange Bones. The world locked down as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
For Imbue everything stopped after building some great momentum. The band’s frontman and songwriter Niall Fitz, like many people, really started to struggle with life being so contained and sterile. The world around him simply ground to a halt. With no music, no work and no friend or family time it was a dark and terrible time. To suppress these feelings alcohol became his solace. Until and seemingly from nowhere, the song ‘Alive’ was born………..
Niall went on to say….
‘Alive’ is about a difficulty I had with listening to other people’s opinions and adapting them to my own beliefs. The song is about me learning to make my own decisions and not letting other people’s decisions and beliefs affect my own.
We are all individuals at the end of the day and you are entitled to think as you, not as anybody else.
Formed in 2016 the band have played high profile shows alongside Nothing Like Thieves, Jaws, Cabbage, Slaves, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, MYOK & Nile Marr – Man Made
