Relatability… What humans yearn for. We all want to know that we’re not alone. We want know that other people go through the same struggles that we do.
This is why Texas-based Kingdom Collapse is making their presence known around the world. Their first single, “Suffer,” has already amassed over 1,000,000 Youtube views and over 200,000 Spotify streams in less than a year. Collectively, the group as amassed over 500,000 Spotify streams and over 1,200,000 Youtube views.
The band originated out of frontman Jonathan Norris’s frustration with past projects. Norris used to only be a guitarist in bands prior. Not only does he play guitar now, but is also the band’s lead singer. He writes, records, and produces the band’s material. “I had a vision that no one else saw and decided to bring it to life. There’s no need to wait around and watch the world pass by when I can go after what I want.”
With songs like “Suffer”, “Bring Me Down”, “This Agony”, and the newly released “Payback”, it’s not hard to see why fans have latched on to their music. “I write and sing about things that have hit close to home for me,” says Norris. “I’ve found that if I’m as honest as possible with my writing, it really connects with our fans. There have been countless people that have approached us not only at shows, but also online from all over the world to say how much our songs have helped them.”
Robert Flores (guitar), Blake Suarez (bass), and David Sanchez (drums) round out the bands lineup. “Robert and I played in previous bands together, and we always meshed well. Same thing with Blake. We had gone awhile without an official drummer, but David stepped in and has been doing an incredible job. I haven’t had as much fun in a band as I’ve had with this group of guys,” says Norris. “They share the same vision as I do, and I couldn’t do this without them.”
The band has been playing stages across the south, and has already shared the stage with the likes of 10 Years, Powerman 5000, Cold, Red, and other hard rock heavy-hitters.
