The Darker my Horizon – Carpe Diem (NHS Charity Single) 24th April 2020 Release
As you may be aware The Darker my Horizon have released a fan video to this single a week ago, Carpe Diem is taken off the band’s latest album Seize The Day released at the end of 2019. Carpe Diem is raising money for our NHS service.
Hopefully, these unfortunate circumstances we find ourselves in will encourage many to Seize The Day once restrictions are lifted.
The digital single will be available through all leading digital platforms – iTunes, Amazon, Google Play etc – and is released on Friday 24th April 2020.
Carpe Diem is taken from the third album by The Darker my Horizon ‘Seize The Day’.
That was released on 1st November 2019 and features the extremely popular “Still Alive”, “On My Way” & acoustic version of “Dear Olivia”.
ALL proceeds from the Carpe Diem single will be donated to NHS charities .
UK based ‘The Darker my Horizon’ was formed late 2014 by former ‘Sacred Heart’ duo: frontman Paul Stead & guitarist Mark Stephenson – who wasted no time in starting the recording of debut album “Acquiesce” – which was released to much acclaim in March the following year. That was followed by 2016’s equally well-received “No Superhero” (through Broken Road Records).
These releases led to high profile supports with iconic rockers ‘Nazareth’, Queensryche founder ‘Geoff Tate’s Operation:Mindcrime’, ‘Terry Brock’ (Kansas, Michael Bolton, Giant) ‘Leatherwolf’, ‘Martina Edoff’ (The Poodles), ‘Enuff Z’nuff” and legendary metal vocalist ‘Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper’ (amongst many).
These are on top of headline and festival appearances (with the likes of ‘Stone Broken’, ‘Skarlett Riot’, ‘Chasing Dragons’ ‘Saints Of Sin’, ‘Neuronspoiler’ and ‘Dirty Thrills’) all over the UK – including main stage at the world’s biggest event of it’s kind ‘The Great Dorset Steam Fair’ and top billing at Rox Festival (Bognor UK).
2017 also saw the first international dates – including a show in Czech Republic at the flagship/largest Hard Rock Cafe in Europe (Prague).
The current line up is completed by former ‘Lost Patrol’ drummer Will Knox.
And on the bass guitar, another former ‘Sacred Heart’ member, Paul Hamilton – who’s passion and enthusiasm adds to the fun live experience.
Influenced by all things hard rock – from the classic stadium fillers of the late 80’s: Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Europe etc, through to modern arena giants: Nickelback, Disturbed, Alter Bridge, Hinder etc – ‘The Darker my Horizon’ offer an incredible & upbeat stage show, mixing rock, metal, pop and a softer side – full of melody.
